Although pronunciation practice is included in all our Spanish courses, many of our students, including those mastering Spanish as a second language, frequently tell us they would like to go further and alter their speech to more closely resemble the accent of native Spanish speakers in order to enhance the clarity of their communication.
Therefore, we have developed Accent reduction special course, involving several steps, which include identifying deviations in the person's current speech (such as pronunciation, speech patterns, and speech habits), changing the way one uses the mouth, teeth, and tongue to form vowel and consonant sounds, modifying one's intonation and stress patterns, and changing one's rhythm. This special course also focus on fluency and the development of cultural skills related to Spanish speakers habits. Contents can be chosen according to students's interests and background.
