Arrival and first day at La Montaña
Arrival to Bariloche
We know our students need information before arrival, so we offer support from their first contact with our staff until they leave the city as well as 24/7 emergency support. These are the most frequently asked questions:
What are the recommended transportations to get from the airport to town center?
Can someone pick me up at the aiport?
Can I take a Public Bus?
During high season, some private shuttle bus offer services every hour from the airport to town center.
Arrival at La Montaña
Once I am in Bariloche, how can I get to school?
Students staying with host-families or hostels arranged by La Montaña will be walk-distance from school.
Others, can ask for directions. We will be happy to help with this, as well as best ways of transportation:
Can I get to school with a Public Bus?
What information I need if I take a Taxi?
First day at La Montaña
Welcome Packs
Every student will receive via Whatsapp a Welcome Pack before their first day at La Montaña which includes tourist and useful information about Bariloche, program and class information, maps or the area and class materials.
Placement Tests
All students will take a Spanish level test before arrival and during on their first day at the La Montaña Spanish School we will re-check their level and place them in the most suitable group. In case we do not have a suitable group for a student, he/she will take 2 private lessons per day with no extra cost.
New Student Orientation
On the first day of classes, La Montaña staff will provide students with a brief orientation that will include information about Spanish classes, Bariloche in general, and about the afternoon activities and excursions available throughout their stay.
Orientation Walking Tour
New students will take a short walking tour near the school and get helpful information like where to buy a cell phone, how to add money to your public transportation card and where to exchange money.
