Arrival and first day at La Montaña

Arrival to Bariloche

We know our students need information before arrival, so we offer support from their first contact with our staff until they leave the city as well as 24/7 emergency support. These are the most frequently asked questions:

What are the recommended transportations to get from the airport to town center?

Can someone pick me up at the aiport?
Yes. We can arrange the transfer with a private car before your arrival. One person will be waiting for you at arrival gate holding a sign with your name. This driver will have all your details as well as the information about your accommodation. The cost is a U$30 add on.
Can I take a Public Bus?
Yes. Public buses run during the day from the airport to the city. You can check at your arrival what time is the next service. This bus will leave you in town center and you need a prepaid card (SUBE same card you use in Buenos Aires) which you can get at any kiosk and at the airport.
During high season, some private shuttle bus offer services every hour from the airport to town center.

Arrival at La Montaña

Once I am in Bariloche, how can I get to school?

Students staying with host-families or hostels arranged by La Montaña will be walk-distance from school.
Others, can ask for directions. We will be happy to help with this, as well as best ways of transportation:

Can I get to school with a Public Bus?
Yes. All bus lines in Bariloche will take you at least 400 meters from La Montaña. If you need directions, please, let us know where you are staying and we will send you the best option to get to our school.
What information I need if I take a Taxi?
Our street address is Juramento 190.
